Reduce the Income Requirement for family visas to the UK to £20,800

What the petition asks
When the MAC review is completed in June 2025, we want the government to lower the Income Requirement for family visas to £20,800 to reflect lower average earnings in areas outside London & the Southeast, including:
Midlands & Southwest England
Northern England & Wales
Scotland & Northern Ireland
Midlands & Southwest England
Northern England & Wales
Scotland & Northern Ireland
The £29,000 threshold is unfairly high, breaching the human rights of UK citizens with overseas partners, and forcing families apart.
This discriminates against working-class people, especially outside London. The MAC review must end this cruel policy. Labour inherited it—now you must fix it and support the families you represent.
