Petition
Failing the interests of the people, allow a vote for instant general election
Rejected

What the petition asks
The power of the government should only be granted by the consent of the governed, and thus the law should reflect that, if the interests of the people have been failed by those representing them in the democratic parliament a vote of no confidence & general election should be granted to the people.
Change the law granting the power of a no confidence vote and thus a general election given to the people at any point should the people feel the government has failed them.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for a vote of no confidence in the Government. This is set out in the Committee's standards: https://petition.parliament.uk/help
If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
