Petition

Not allow Roebuck House, Cosham as temp accommodation for illegal immigrants

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Cosham residents don't want Roebuck House, Cosham, Portsmouth to be temporary accommodation for illegal immigrants.
Cosham is home to many families, young, old and vulnerable and the last thing we want is to feel unsafe where we live and see a spike in crime rates like there has been around the UK
Cosham residents have a right to feel safe where they live and not feel threatened or scared about leaving their home, letting their children play, elderly relatives safety or fear that their property may be damaged or stolen.
You only have to look at the incidents that have happened across the UK due to these temporary living arrangements to understand everyone's concerns. We would all appreciate this matter being taken seriously.

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.

We have to reject petitions that call for action at a local level.

You could ask your MP to take action on your concerns about this issue, including by asking them to present a public petition about this.
