Add more life skills to the national curriculum for secondary education

What the petition asks
We think schools fail to teach essential life skills. We urge the government to introduce mandatory financial literacy, survival skills and more mental health education (Years 7–9) and integrate apprenticeships into the curriculum (Years 10–13) to ensure students leave school prepared for life.
We think many students leave without basic financial knowledge, survival skills, or work experience, leading to struggles in adulthood. We want students to gain real-world experience, financial literacy, and essential survival skills. We think this reform will reduce youth unemployment, improve independence, and create a stronger future generation.
