Ban the production and sale of small animal cages

What the petition asks
We think that almost all cages that are produced and sold in pet shops are far too small for all animals, particularly the ones they are marketed to.
Animals do not deserve to live a life in tiny hutches. Animals, no matter the size, deserve to live a good quality of life where they can move, stand and run freely. If a human wouldn’t want to be trapped a space they couldn’t move in, why should an animal?
For example, animal welfare advocates recommend the minimum size a rabbit should be in is 3mx2m, but pet stores sell many cages that are 0.63m x 0.17m, as well as even smaller cages.
