What the petition asks
During times of austerity, public finances in deficit and public services are being cut.
The public should be able to vote on MP pay rises, this enables MP’s ensuring their are doing their best for the public. Performance related pay structure should be in place to best serve the public finances and avoid an abuse of public funds at a time when families are struggling and children are hungry.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
