Overly using Kent M20 Operation Brock contraflow!

What the petition asks

Stop the unnecessary over use of operation Brock on the M20. It cost money every time it’s put in place
It’s dangerous for motorists and will cause a major accident on day
Traffic build up around Ashford
Using A20 has caused road damage with the increased flow of traffic
Stress and annoyance

When Brock is put into place between Maidstone & Ashford, it causes increased traffic around Ashford, especially when an accident occurs.
The local people are in uproar when Brock is implemented, it causes more issues to the roads London bound & A20 from Maidstone, whereas the traffic m20 coastal just sees an odd lorry travelling on it making it a waste of time & money.
The cost is £250,000 at each deployment.
Brock is most efficient when France strikes, not during school holidays!

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
