Oppose revised guidelines on New Medicine Service Subcontracting for Pharmacies

What the petition asks
We believe that the NMS helps patients newly prescribed medication for long-term conditions by improving understanding, managing side effects, and enhancing adherence. We urge NHS England to reconsider NMS subcontracting in pharmacies, as it improves patient access and supports pharmacists.
We urge NHS England to regulate subcontractors providing the New Medicine Service to ensure they can continue to provide remote services. Regulation would ensure high standards of care, patient safety, quality, and flexibility for pharmacies to offer timely services. Without it, patients may suffer from unchecked side effects and improper use of medication, while pharmacies will struggle to meet demand and maintain quality care.
