What the petition asks
Create funding for children who are homeschooled. 89% increase in children being homeschooled in the North East of England and there is no funding for parents from a socio-economic background to pay the tuition costs for their children.
A child's education is priceless. Children suffering from mental health issues find it too difficult to focus on their education in schools and work better in a safe supported environment. Average costs for tutoring is £45 per hour. These costs are far too excessive for parents to pay in full. The government should meet parents half way and pay half the tuition fees.
