Petition
Amend the Equality Act to ensure fairness across sex and gender identity
Rejected

What the petition asks
The Supreme Court ruling enables discrimination against trans people. We call on Parliament to amend the Equality Act to protect the dignity, safety, and rights of all people. Gender identity must not be a legal loophole for exclusion. Everyone deserves equal rights.
The Supreme Court ruling limits “sex” in the Equality Act to biology, excluding trans people from vital rights and protections. This risks greater harm to an already vulnerable group. Everyone deserves dignity, safety, and fairness—regardless of sex or gender identity. We urge Parliament to amend the Act to reflect modern understanding and ensure equality before the law for all people.
