Petition

Criminalise breaking election promises for public office, no maximum sentence.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

To make Politicians personally liable for their public statements and put no limit on the legal recourse should any political figure make promises then U-turn as soon as they assume office. In the real world this is often dealt with in the sales of goods and services act.
To bring honesty back into British Politics. Think and analyse before you shout your mouth off at the electorates expense.
