Petition
REMOVE IHS SURCHARGE FOR VISAS WITH A RIGHT TO WORK FULL TIME
Rejected
9 signatures
What the petition asks
For the IHS surcharge to be completely removed for individuals applying for, or granted visas that allow them work full time in the United Kingdom. I would like parliament to discuss and subsequently vote on completely removing this surcharge for the visas in question
This is because as a current or prospective full time employee, this individual contributes or would contribute into the nations pot through PAYE and NI just like any other individual who works part time, full time, or for whatever reason is unemployed and yet not expected to pay an additional fee to access the NHS. The surcharge is a double tax for individuals with visas or applying for visas that grant them a right to work full time
Why it was rejected
