Narcotics can affect one's ability to think and make important decisions. The integrity and competency of our leaders are paramount for the successful governance of our nation. members of parliament should also be held to the highest standards of responsibility and accountability.
Regular drug tests for members of parliament will not only promote accountability but also transparency. This process will act as a deterrent against substance misuse and would also help cultivate public trust in our governmental institutions. It highlights a commitment to integrity and ethical leadership that citizens expect from their representatives. The goal is to maintain a government led by individuals who are sober-minded and fully capable of serving the interests of the public.
