What the petition asks
Us carers would appreciate to have a pay raise , our job is as hard any other job role. Companies getting over £100 pay rises and we got 25p this is not enough for the job we do.
In my home we have anyone from respite to end of life and mental health patients.
In my home we have anyone from respite to end of life and mental health patients.
We would like the government to help us as all nhs/ healthcare workers are overworked and underpaid.
The stress of the job can affect our mental health quite badly, we don’t get sick pay, if we are unwell/sick we can’t pick up a shift for 4 weeks.
Which then affects our home life/cost of living
The abuse that carers receive in care home with mixitures of residents which sometimes can’t be helped due to their illness.
Sometimes we feel like we aren’t appreciated after looking after peoples loved ones from the industry.
