Petition
Prime Ministers Questions (Weds) to return to its purpose or be scrapped
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
Prime Ministers Questions to fulfill its actual purpose, every question to be answered before moving on to the next and questions to be raised on the day rather than in advance for full transparency.
We the public would like an overhaul of Prime Ministers Questions on a Wednesday, with questions NOT being submitted in advance, instead being spontaneous, with unscripted replies, in order to give us a better understanding of MP’s knowledge and competency and the next question may not be asked until each question has received a relevant and satisfactory answer.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament as a whole aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Order in the Commons is the responsibility of the Speaker, and the Prime Minister is responsible for answers to questions. If you'd like Prime Minister's Questions to be abolished, you could start a petition about that.
