Ban the use of pesticides in children’s playgrounds and in schools in England

What the petition asks
We urge the Government to ban the use of pesticides in children’s playgrounds and schools in England, to protect children from what could be harmful chemicals.
Many pesticides can have serious impacts on health, and children may be particularly vulnerable to these toxins. Reports state that pesticide exposure can be linked to various serious diseases including cancer, asthma, reproductive and neurological problems. According to the Pesticide Action Network UK, the main pesticide being sprayed in playgrounds and schools is glyphosate. We believe children should be free to play in areas that do not pose potential risks to their health.
