Seek to join the European Free Trade Association (EFTA)

What the petition asks
We think the UK should join EFTA, comprised of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. We think this would be an ideal compromise between those who wish to be within the EU and those who don't.
Parliament must consider that close to 10 years on from the Brexit referendum, the country is still talking about it. The government could negotiate a system where the UK can join EFTA but not be part of the EEA or Schengen Area. Government could work with EFTA countries to negotiate admission which works for both them and what is of paramount importance to the UK. We think it would then finally close the debate on the UK-EU's relationship.
