What the petition asks

Take immediate action to protect the beaches and surrounding communities of Thanet—Broadstairs (Viking Bay), Margate Sands, and Ramsgate Sands—during the peak summer months of June, July, and August. They are lacking infrastructure and enforcement support to cope with the intense influx of visitors

We are asking for immediate and nationally-backed intervention
1. **Significant Police Presence** – visibly patrolling Thanet's key beach areas and public spaces
2. **Transport Hub Monitoring** – Police present at stations
3. **Litter and Environmental Enforcement Officers**
4. **Support for Local Businesses** – protect shops, restaurants, and venues from vandalism and theft
5. **Structured Beach Management Plan** – A formal seasonal plan (similar to crowd management at events like Ascot)

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
