Teach the full history of South Asian people who fought for Britain

What the petition asks
Add to the curriculum the full history of how the British Empire led to millions of South Asian people amongst other colonised people fighting for Britain during the world wars. We believe it is an important part of British history that is often left out.
In a world where social media dominates and a country where we are so diverse, we believe there is still a huge blank space, misinformation, racism and ignorance about the true history of the South Asian community's journey to Britain.
We think making it a compulsory part of the history curriculum would allow more engagement, inclusivity and interaction to British values and would shape the identities of the British Asian population. It could also help bridge divisions and bring us all closer.
