Petition
Support a law in Scotland for a two year sentence for carrying a knife
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
I want the Scottish Government to introduce a mandatory two year prison sentence for anyone caught with a knife. The current laws aren’t tough enough, and stronger action is needed to stop the rising violence in our communities.
I want the government to act because knife crime is ruining lives, and current laws aren’t stopping it. A clear, tough sentence would deter offenders, protect the public, and show that carrying a weapon has real consequences.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
