Petition
Stop independent school providers from profiting high amounts from SEN children
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Discuss this situation in Parliament and ensure this money is used for the SEN children as intended
The money boroughs pay for these specialist places should be spent on the children. One private provider has just confirmed a £44 million profit for the past year! SEN children are NOT here for providers to receive such high profits. This funding is for the children and the government need to provide strict guidelines for how the money is spent and limit providers profiting to the detriment of the children. The spending needs monitoring.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We don't accept petitions which call for a discussion in Parliament as this would be the outcome if a petition receives 100,000 signatures.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
