What the petition asks
The United Kingdom has offered visa free entry for up to 6 months for citizens of certain countries since 1947
We think this is completely out of line with the way other countries deal with tourist access
We think this is completely out of line with the way other countries deal with tourist access
Some countries only allow tourists to enter for a maximum of 90 days without a visa
We think the current UK tourist visa waiver of up to 6 months is completely unnecessary and totally out of line with the way some other countries deal with tourists
Many countries have a standard waiver at 90 days, and few allow tourists longer stays without first applying for a visa
At a time when controlling borders is so important, we think allowing huge numbers of people to enter the country without a visa is totally unacceptable
We think we should align with other countries and limit visa free entry to 90 days maximum
