Petition
Bring back the Asperger's Syndrome diagnosis in the ICD-11 manual
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
I would like the government to reconsider the diagnosis Asperger's which affects millions of people around the world and affects individuals differently than those diagnosed with classic Autism.
I have a diagnosis of Asperger's and the condition was removed from several manuals around the world and is now referred to as just 'Autism Spectrum Disorder'. This does not help those diagnosed with different levels of Autism and it only helps to confuse people more on a condition people are only just starting to understand.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The ICD-11 Manual is the responsibility of the World Health Organisation.
