Petition

audits, random checks, and penalties on workplace awards on equality

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Require all workplace awards on equality, diversity, or inclusion to be independently audited, with measurable pledges, random spot checks, employee interviews, and penalties for false claims, overseen by an independent regulator.
Many companies win “Top Employer” awards based only on self-reported data, allowing discrimination to be hidden behind PR. This misleads jobseekers, employees, and investors. Independent checks will ensure awards reflect reality, protect workers, and restore public trust in workplace standards.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions that the Government or Parliament is responsible.

The Government is not directly responsible for such workplace awards.
