Subsidise private weight loss prescriptions to reduce obesity and health costs

What the petition asks
Subsidise privately prescribed weight loss medications for people who cannot access them through the NHS, to help reduce long-term obesity-related health issues. We think this could promote fair access and reduce health inequalities.
Prices for private weight loss prescriptions have risen and we believe they are now unaffordable for most. Many patients rely on private access due to limited NHS provision. Without support, we think people may stop treatment, risking serious health issues. We believe a subsidy could help promote health equity, reduce obesity-related illness, and ease long-term NHS costs.
