Change the law for planning permission on protected properties that burn down

What the petition asks
In instances where Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings catch fire, planning permission for any future development should be denied for a period of 25 years, the building rebuilt by the owners to original state and if they cannot rebuild, the land should be reverted to public green space.
We think far too many historical buildings are being burnt to the ground, this is happening all over the UK. These buildings are sometimes owned by property developers.
We think there needs to be a long ban on developing these sites after a fire, the property restored to original spec or land returned to public green space, which could help prevent exploitation.
