Ban serving or former police officers from working on/advising the OPCC

What the petition asks
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) is meant to hold police forces accountable. Yet we feel its current structure allows serving or former officers, and elected officials with close ties to law enforcement, to oversee misconduct investigations involving their own colleagues
Prohibit serving or former police officers from working in or advising the OPCC.
We think OPCCs should be staffed with independent legal experts such as retired judges or human rights lawyers.
We believe recent cases suggest OPCCs have sided with police.
