Lodge a Motion of no confidence in the cabinet

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Respect the previous petition calling for a general election by lodging a vote of no confidence in the cabinet
A lost vote usually results in dissolution, triggering a general election.
The only actor that can call a general election is the PM.
Let the commons decide on the people's behalf

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for a vote of no confidence in the Government. This is set out in the Committee's standards: https://petition.parliament.uk/help

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
