Review potential impact of AI on employment opportunities for disabled people

What the petition asks
I call on the Government to assess and regulate the impact of generative AI on employment opportunities for disabled people—particularly those with profound physical disabilities who rely on desk-based roles.
Some recent public statements from leading AI developers have suggested that generative AI could eliminate many white-collar and desk-based jobs. These may be the only viable employment options for some physically disabled people, who cannot work in manual or physical roles.
I believe this could create a foreseeable and systemic disadvantage for disabled people, which may constitute indirect discrimination under the Equality Act 2010 and a denial of right to work under the Human Rights Act 1998.
