Require employers have monthly menstrual 1-3 day leave policy

What the petition asks
We want the government to require workforces to allow women to have 1-3 days leave per month (outside of holiday and sick leave) during their menstrual phase.
Each month, many women suffer in silence at work during this phase, whether its pain, embarrassment, discomfort or handling emotions. Countries such as Spain and Japan along with others have menstrual leave policies.
Menstrual leave could allow women to rest, restore and be in comfort without having to "show up" and "put a brave face on". It could also prevent any embarrassment in the office or any worry about needing to change clothes due to heaviness.
