What the petition asks
I believe that students in the year 7-9 by would benefit from a reduction of homework assigned we feel that a more balanced workload would support students well-being, allow time for extracurricular activities and improve overall learning engagement.
I think it would benefit students well-being.Instead of being stressed on homework they could be more focused on their life and what they would like to be when they are older. I think that it puts a lot of stress on students mental health when we just focus on writing essays and homework and maths instead of living life and seeing what’s around us.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about homework are a matter for individual schools. You could start a new petition about something that Government or Parliament is directly responsible for, explaining clearly what you would like Government or Parliament to do.
