Petition
Free train fee for anyone with a young Scot card or senior card.

What the petition asks
I want the government to make travel by train free in Scotland for people under 21 with a young Scot card and people over the age of 60 with a senior card just like it works with buses.
It's absolutely outrageous having to pay £5 for a child ticket to get to glasgow from a few stops away. It should be free if it's not a train going to the other side of the country or out of it.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Concessionary travel schemes in Scotland are a matter for the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament, not the UK Government or Parliament.
