Families in Northern Ireland caring for loved ones with Parkinson’s are left with little support. There are long waits for specialist nurses, almost no respite services, and carers face exhaustion and hardship.
Families across Northern Ireland caring for loved ones with Parkinson’s are at breaking point. Specialist nurses are overstretched, respite services are scarce, and carers face huge emotional and financial strain. Parkinson’s is a progressive condition and families cannot cope alone. Government must act to guarantee access to specialist nurses, provide proper respite, and support the mental health of carers.
