Petition

people who are not in education have a right to not have a 0 hour contract.

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

I want this to be a law enforced since it helps the economy and people individually. I want this to be debated in parliament. Even if the law isn’t altered/ added it would be beneficial if it is looked at and brought to the public eye.
I want people such as single mums to be able to have guaranteed solid working hours but people in education have studies to work on therefore can’t give as much of there time to work but people such as single parents need the money instead of being told they are not getting payed this week.

Why it was rejected

The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.

The Government's Employment Rights Bill has almost passed through Parliament. When it becomes law, employers will be required to offer eligible workers guaranteed working hours.
