Stop the council proposal of closing our schools

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Consider as parents our thoughts about this decision and how this is going to affect our children.
We, as concerned parents, carers, and community members, strongly oppose the council’s proposal to close schools. This decision would have a deeply damaging impact on our children’s education, wellbeing, and sense of security, while also placing our dedicated teachers’ jobs and livelihoods at risk. Schools are at the heart of our community, providing not only learning but also stability, support, and opportunity. We urge the council to reconsider this proposal.

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.
