Petition
Reverse the decision to cut funding to the IB Diploma

What the petition asks
Reverse the decision from last Wednesday (October 01/10/2025) to withdraw the additional funding given to UK state schools to run the IB diploma for 16-18.
This funding allows state schools to run the IB diploma, a program which provides better opportunities to students from any background for their post-16 studies. Students who have committed to an IB education in good faith and have worked very hard to meet the higher standards, are now at risk of losing access to this educational programme.
The projected £430 million in “savings opportunities” across schools has proven largely unattainable, with actual savings averaging just £27,000 per school.
