Petition
Stop the proposed NMC fee increase
Rejected

What the petition asks
Nurses & Midwives currently pay £120 a year to hold a registration within the NMC, they are proposing to increase this. I feel due to the nature of the job and the sacrifices we make this should be stopped.
The NHS has its struggles, however staff sacrifice so much to do the job they do, e.g. Christmas without their families to look after yours. Most individuals are struggling to live, so this will add an extra pressure to their lives.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council are an independent regulator, we can't accept petitions which call for actions with regard to named individuals, organisations or businesses.
