Petition

Ban the Sale of Fireworks and Restrict Use to Licensed, Low-Noise Events.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Fireworks be available solely to licensed operators for use at approved events only.

Only low-noise or silent fireworks be permitted.

Local residents have the right to object to applications for displays based on noise, welfare, or environmental concerns.
This would reduce distress to animals, protect vulnerable individuals, minimise environmental damage, and improve public safety.

Existing regulations under the Fireworks Regulations 2004 do not sufficiently prevent misuse, noise pollution, and harm. Stronger controls are urgently needed.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition which calls for similar action: Limit the sale of fireworks to those running local council approved events only
