What the petition asks

We urgent the Government to reverse the proposed restrictions on overseas recruitment in Social Care. There is no backup plan to fill critical vacancies. Without immediate action, thousands on these services will go without care, providers will close and the NHS will catastrophic pressure.

Nearly one in three care workers in England are from overseas. The Government's plan to block international recruitment without a replacement strategy is reckless and dangerous. There's no domestic workforce ready to fill these roles. Services will collapse, hospitals will gridlock and lives will be at risk. The Parliament must act now.
