The UK celebrates many events with fireworks, particularly the triumph of Parliamentary Democracy over Guy Fawkes’s plot to destroy it, and indeed Diwali, the triumph of wisdom over ignorance.
Please restrict these celebrations to organized public events only.

The Hindu religion holds the welfare of animals and humans in high regard.

Given the knowledge that celebrating with loud Chinese industrial fireworks causes harm is a time for reflection…

Arguments for these celebrations that “it is our culture” or “our right” are weak.

Culture belongs to all of humanity as does the right (but not the obligation) to exercise wisdom…
