Petition
Ban the private sale of fireworks
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Stop the sale of fireworks for private use, limiting fireworks to organised displays. It has a detrimental impact on domestic animals, wildlife, and those with PTSD. They are used as people like without consideration for others, often in urban settings, leading to accidents and fatalities.
Anyone can walk into a shop, by fireworks and use them carelessly. The impact on pets is horrific with some left shell-shocked or worse. Organised displays held away from residential areas can help to alleviate this.
