Petition
End sale and home use of fireworks in the UK
Rejected
9 signatures
What the petition asks
Ban the sale and private use of fireworks in residential areas. Allow only licensed public displays to protect animals, vulnerable people, and reduce fire and injury risks.
Private fireworks cause distress and harm to animals and vulnerable people, including children, the elderly, and those with PTSD. They are unpredictable, increase fire and injury risk, and burden emergency services. Restricting them to licensed public displays protects welfare, safety, and health.
