Make it illegal to drive a moped without a full moped licence

What the petition asks
The Government should introduce a law that requires all moped drivers to have a full moped licence to be able to drive on public roads.
They should be required to complete the Current Compulsory Basic Training Course as many times as necessary to pass both a theory and practical exam in order to qualify for a licence.
The majority of moped drivers have not had an official exam to prove they are competent at being on public roads on a moped. Many apply ‘L’ plates, which show they have not passed their full moped test, and ride amongst experienced drivers. Delivery drivers are often using mopeds to work full time jobs, using the roads everyday, without having passed a full driving test. This is making the roads more unsafe for everyone. Also, requiring a full moped license would likely reduce the number of people working illegally.
