Petition
Change the law of different sex siblings being allowed to share a bedroom
Rejected
9 signatures
What the petition asks
The law regarding different sex siblings sharing a bedroom hasn't been updated since 1935!! This needs reviewing immediately. I doubt everyone in government would allow their child to sleep in the living room if you only had a 2 bedroom house and a child of each sex.
Review this law and allow people in social housing to have separate bedrooms for children of gender over a certain age
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
The House of Commons Library states that there is no age at which it’s unlawful for siblings to share a bedroom, including siblings of opposite sexes.
