What the petition asks

Provide a safe route home for people who end up missing the last train and have no way home back to Essex and cannot afford uber/taxi prices.
After speaking to many people, and having many experiences myself - although you may leave time to make the last train home which is (usually 12.40am), the traffic in London to get from one destination to another safely makes it nearly impossible to make it to the station in time. It’s either paying between £120-£200 to get home at a reasonable time for a Cab/Uber, or waiting till 4/5am sometimes 6/7am for a train home. I feel there should be one train around 2/3am in future.

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.

We can’t accept petitions that call for action at a local level.

In any case, train companies are responsible for setting specific timetables.

You could raise this issue with the train company directly. You can find out how to contact them here: https://www.c2c-online.co.uk/help-feedback/contact-us/
