End taxpayer funding for the BBC and require it to be self funded

What the petition asks

The BBC is funded by the TV licence, paid by taxpayers. Many believe it fails to remain impartial and has shared inaccurate information. The Government should end public funding and make the BBC self-financed.
The BBC’s compulsory licence fee forces taxpayers to fund an organisation they may not use or trust. Concerns have been raised about its impartiality and accuracy. The Government should end taxpayer funding and allow the BBC to earn income from subscriptions or advertising instead.
