Petition
Allow Women to legally purchase and carry Pepper spray
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Change the current law that prohibits anyone from purchasing and carrying pepper spray to ONLY allowing Women to purchase it through providing suitable ID to prove they are over the age of 18.
Right now in the UK, women are being targeted by illegals immigrants and homegrown UK men. This has been proven more than enough times (grooming gangs and illegal Immigrant Sexual Assaults). Women should have the right to defend themselves and pepper spray WOULD give women a fighting chance of getting away.
The current laws of “self defence” are obsolete and need updating to meet the situation in 2025 and beyond
