Petition

Put an end to unfair rail prices

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Hardworking commuters around the country are struggling with the costs of inflation, rises in taxes, gas and energy prices - in addition to this, train companies are raising their fares, squeezing UK residents struggling to get by. We demand the government to lower prices and cap train fares.
We call on the government to debate making train fares accessible for all—capped at fixed rates for standard single and return tickets, regardless of when ticket is purchased or the journey length.

Example: Brighton to London return capped at £20. Single tickets £8 and monthly tickets capped at £300.

Fair, stable fares will support local economies, boost tourism, and protect the environment vs other means of transport e.g air travel.

It’s time for change-stand with us and support this cause.
