Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Increase teachers’ salaries in England to fairly reward teachers, attract new talent into the profession, and raise teaching standards.
Teachers are underpaid and undervalued. They do incredible work for our young people and society. Better teachers will create a more intelligent workforce. Children deserve the best teachers.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition setting out what level of pay rise you would like to see or which teachers this should apply to e.g. newly qualified.
