People who rely on assistance dogs deserve equal access to public spaces, transportation, and essential services. Assistance dogs provide vital support for individuals with disabilities, including mobility support, medical alert tasks, hearing assistance, and mental-health-related tasks.
Despite this, many people still face unlawful refusal of entry to shops, restaurants, taxis, rideshares, and other public places. These refusals cause humiliation, restrict independence,

Refusing to allow access to people with assistance dogs is already illegal under the Equality Act 2010, which states that service providers must make reasonable adjustments to policies for disabled people, including amending ‘no dogs’ and ‘no pets’ policies to allow access for assistance dogs.
